My grandfather was an orphan. He never knew his family but he still was the best grandfather I could have. When I was a kid I loved to play the cook. He was very happy to buy me a small kitchen in plastic and went mad towards my grandparents from my mom side because they said "cooking is for girls". He just wanted to know that I am happy, he couldn't care less about other things. He died of a cancer very early, the norms were not the same with chemical products.
I am saying this because my grandmother havr a tablet for seniors and sent me an email with a picture of him. It's a black & white pic of my grandfather playing saxophone when they were 16. I love my grandparents and wish I could have spent more time with them. When my brother was diagnosed with a depression, she was calling him everyday to know if he tooks his meds and to know how he was doing.
It's not always easy but remember to give some love to your family
