I hate how every single time I express my frustrations of a lack of inclusivity in media where part of the audience artifically gets ostracised, I get so much hate in return.

As an example, if I mention the notion that Dark Souls should have accessibility settings and/or difficulty settings, people get angry at me, even if there are a billion other reasons to love those games.

When I mention that I want pronoun options in games with blank-slate characters regardless of whether they’re male or female, I get hate in return.

Whenever I mention anything that could help a game or media be more inclusive without affecting the existing game, I get hate ...

DO PEOPLE HATE INCLUSIVITY?!?! DOES EVERY PIECE OF MEDIA HAVE TO BE EXCLUSIVE JUST BECAUSE YOU’RE PART OF THAT PARTY?!?!

This really frustrates me because I have yet to see any good reasons for this either ... And I don’t think there is any good reasons so long as the game can be played exactly as it was intended to be played as well as giving other options.

If Indie games can do it (Celeste and Shovel Knight to mention just two), then so should the AAA titles with huge budgets and lots of people working on them

@Reina Yeah, people get weird about that stuff, especially with videogames.

@Cowwan Like, what if I only want to experience the story and don’t care about the rest? I love Dragon Quest XI, but I’d not like it at all if it wasn’t for the game speed options as well as the auto combat
