If I go back to Linux from BSD I'm 100% going to use Artix, I'm sold on not using SystemD

@immychan Do you mind explaining why? Like, not to criticize the choice, more that this topic is subject to a lot of hyperbole so I've never really gotten a handle on the why I might want to avoid systemd.

Also I still need to give BSD a shot, I have it downloaded I just need to figure out how I want to go about putting it somewhere I'd use it without making a mess.

@immychan sorry if you touch on this in your videos btw, I keep intending to watch them

@Cowwan Honestly I'm not the right person to answer that really, I don't really like how monolithic SystemD is and I notice slightly better performance from not having it and I don't really loose anything from not having it so I might as well not use it

@immychan tbh, that's about the scale of answer I was looking for.

Like, at the end of my day I want my computer to work, and " I notice slightly better performance from not having it and I don't really loose anything from not having it " means a lot more to me than most of the arguments I've heard.

@Cowwan Honestly I don't think there's any reason to be strongly opposed to SystemD, there's not much wrong with it, I just think it's one of those "if you don't miss it when it's gone you might as well just not use it"
